Workout Plans That Work, How to
|
||||||
Despite all the crap you read online that you don't need a workout plan to get in shape, the fact is you do!
There's no way that a diet pill, fancy new diet plan or magic exercise machine will take the place of a well constructed workout plan.
Here's what you need to know about workout plans and how to make your own that will work.
Workout Plan Keys To Success
Synergy is the Key to every workout plan. The most dramatic results you'll
get on any plan is a combination of proper diet, weight lifting and cardio
workouts.
The three parts of a program should work together in harmony, and together will yield far superior results to any one component by itself.
Diet
Arguably the most important element in any workout plan. Changing your
diet and getting your food intake under control will yield dramatic results
when done correctly.
Think of it this way. If you cut the number of calories you consume each day by about 1200, you can lose a pound in 3 days. If you're trying to accomplish the same weight loss by doing cardio at say, 350 calories burned each workout, it will take you 10 workouts.
Weight Training
Most people don't even consider weight training or strength training to
be essential in a workout plan. The fact is that you're more likely to
achieve permanent weight loss by weight training because it will help
sustain your lean muscle mass.
As a bonus, if you manage to add just ten pounds of muscle to your body, your resting metabolic rate will increase significantly, which in turn will burn more calories, which as you know will make it much easier to keep fat off.
Cardio
Most people know that cardio is an important part of workout plans, but
many are under the false impression that killing themselves 2 hours a
day on a treadmill or exercise bike will result in rapid weight loss.
The truth is, cardio should be an important component of your plan and has many additional benefits beyond weight loss, but it's not the end all solution that many claim.
Keep these simple tips in mind when developing your own workout plans
and you'll reach your goal much faster.
